ARTIST STATEMENT
My work explores the tension between presence and absence, memory and immediacy. Through layered processes and intentional material choices, I investigate how personal narratives intersect with collective experience. I am interested in the subtle spaces between control and unpredictability — where gesture, texture, and form become records of time.
Working with animation primarily, I allow intuition to guide the early stages of creation. Marks are built, obscured, and revealed, echoing the way memories evolve. Each piece becomes an accumulation of decisions — some deliberate, others instinctive — reflecting the complexity of human perception.
Themes of identity, transformation, and resilience recur throughout my practice. I draw inspiration from everyday environments, emotional landscapes, and the quiet details often overlooked. By abstracting familiar forms, I invite viewers to project their own interpretations onto the work.
Ultimately, my practice is about connection. I aim to create work that feels both intimate and expansive — pieces that hold space for reflection while encouraging dialogue and memory. Through material exploration and conceptual inquiry, I seek to translate internal experiences into visual language that resonates beyond my personal experience.
