Fantastical Blooms

My Fantastical Blooms emerge from my imagination, frequently inspired by the coral reef and the  Arizona desert.  They generally start with a small glimpse of inspiration, but grow through my curiosity to learn new techniques or use old methods in new ways.  I never truly know what they’ll grow into until they’re finished.  My Blooms combine modern digital modeling with traditional Metalsmithing techniques. My Graduate research has allowed me to add more dimension, texture, and color to my work, mainly achieved via my new CAD skills.  Each of my Blooms highlights one or more techniques using form, color, or texture to inspire joy or curiosity in the viewer.
