Con Fe te vere otra vez

Edwin Perez-Hernandez is a Chicano photographic artist from a suburb of Chicago. As a Chicano artist, Edwin has been able to use his position and relationship with his culture to explore and amplify the many voices of the individuals he meets. With photography, he shows both sides of immigration. The achievement and success of Latin Americans, the communities they have built, and the businesses they own. The pain and fears immigrants face just by existing in this country, and how they maneuver through that in life. Edwin has had works shown in galleries such as the Purple Window Gallery, Documenting Everyday Life: Illumination of the Mundane; Con Fe Te veré otra vez, Annette and Jerry Johns Gallery; Midwest Salon Deux, Midwestniceart; Past & Pleasant exhibition at Ellwood Historic House; Faces of Belonging, Annette and Jerry Johns Gallery; (Un)process(Ing), Gallery 215; A breath of Fresh Air, Gallery 4224; Alternative Photography Exhibition, and the Zhou B. Art Center, Chicago. He, alongside the Photography department at Northern Illinois University, holds the world record for the World's Largest Paper Snowflake.
