ARTIST STATEMENT
Khalil Jennette graduated from Northern Illinois University. He is a Time Arts major and has earned his Associates in Art degree. Despite drawing all his life, it wasn’t until he grew to have a love of film around the time he began middle school that he realized it was something he could make a career out of. He had a particular fondness for movies that had dark themes and/or grotesque images, while also possessing a brand of humor that you might not get if you “aren’t sick enough”. Chief among his favorite films are Paprika, Sexy Beast, Blue Velvet and Love Exposure.
Most of his experience in animation and art in general is in 2D. However, he is working to expand his repertoire to 3D.
