Illustration

Growing up, I loved looking at I-Spy books. I found so much joy in reading the pages over and over, always finding something new. Inspired by this love, I pack as much detail as I can into my Illustrations by intuitively adding as much visual stimuli as possible, creating an “I-Spy” effect. Using this approach, I highlight bizarre and grotesque subject matter in beautiful, maximalist illustrations. While my process ends with digital software, I love to begin with a pen and ink drawing to add a human touch to my work. By doing this I can also create more layers of color, texture, and clutter. My work is often influenced by the wonderful chaos in my life and stories I hear from my family and friends. The more I look inside, there is always something more to find.
